Friends of the Sandbox
The Sandbox is now closed.
But, What an honor it was to be your place!
My original intention was for the Sandbox to be a little oasis. A place to simply enjoy being in the company of our playing children - to be away from the demands and distractions of everyday life. A place to be surrounded by others who understand sleepless nights and limitless love - to share our awe, frustration, celebration and our mealtime war stories. A place where the only phone you needed to answer was a wooden banana. I hope it has been that place for you.
We are grateful for the time we spent together. Grateful for the special people we've known through the Sandbox and the beautiful connections we've woven together through these nearly 7 years. Together, we form the fabric of parenting in our community. Thank you for being our friends!
There is not a substitute for connections formed when we are physically together, especially between mothers. The Sandbox is necessary and relevant. When the time becomes right, I hope to help another woman open a space like the Sandbox. I would love to hand my knowledge along. If you are that person or you know her, I would be very grateful for the introduction.
